Devotional Thoughts: Humility, Gentleness and Patience

I know I can improve in humility, gentleness, patience and love! Hopefully we’re more aware of our shortcomings as we follow Christ more and more. If we’re not realizing this we might just be too full of ourselves and following our own way, not Gods way. God’s way doesn’t leave us lacking. Every day is another battle: my way or God’s way, my opinion or God’s Word, the wide road or the narrow way, focus on the world or on what’s eternal. What shall I do? Which one will I choose? I need to raise my awareness of these things. Awareness of my own self, of how we’re all inclined to selfishness. It’s time for me to lay myself aside and be humble, gentle and patient.
