Devotional Thoughts: Exalted Valleys

I hear Handel’s musical expression of this verse in my head as I read it!  Handel gives such emotion and belief to scripture!  God will level the playing field.  It will be shockingly ironic to many, but not to those who believe.  It won’t even be irony for me.  It will be what I know to be true already!  God is the God of straightening the crooked,  exalting the valleys and lowering the hills!  What is unjust here will be settled.   I might walk in such difficulty and injustice here on earth but I know this will be made straight.  Listen to this exceptional piece and be encouraged today!  May your rough places be made plain, your crooked made straight, your hills made low and your valleys be exalted by God Himself!
